Parks to explore near Holiday Inn Farnborough

There are plenty of parks and outdoor places for you and the family to enjoy within an hour drive off the hotel. Holiday Inn Farnborough is the perfect base to explore the surrounding of Hampshire, Surrey and Berkshire!

The Vyne

Head down to The Vyne and enjoy a stunning Tudor house, gardens, Wetlands and Woodland.

Take a stroll through the manicured gardens or parkland – they’re great places for the little ones to explore too. Or if you are in the mood for a longer walk, visit the ancient woodlands or two lakes that are part of the estate.

28 minutes away from the hotel, this is a great place to explore British history or get back to Nature for the day!

Runnymede Pleasure Grounds

Situated on the banks of the River Thames, Runnymede Pleasure Grounds is a good starting point for walks along the river to the Magna Carta and John F Kennedy Memorials. For the children, there is a paddling pool, children’s rides and amusements which are open during the summer months. It is a 25-minute drive from the hotel.

Virginia Water

Set in Windsor Great Park, Virginia Water is a beautiful place to spend the day. While there why not enjoy the Savill Garden or the Valley Gardens or walk the iconic tree-lined avenue from Windsor Castle to the  Copper Horse statue and encounter the resident deer! All these only 30 minutes drive from the hotel

South Downs National Park

The South Down National Park Way stretches for 87 miles across southern England. Only 40 minutes away from the hotel is South Downs Way which passes through the National Park. Alternatively visit Queen Elizabeth Country Park, with over 2,000 acres of downland and woodland it is the ideal place to explore, keep fit and enjoy the great outdoors. There is also an Assualt course and Dog activity course for those up to a physical challenge!

The New Forest

Explore the beautiful woodlands, and enjoy some breath-taking views from the clifftops. There are over 40 walking routes that you can take. If you fancy taking the bike for a spin with the kids there are also plenty of cycling paths too. The forest is also the home to lots of local wildlife including ponies, cattle, donkeys and more. The New Forest is around 48 minutes drive from the hotel.
